Many studies have shown that the aging process is stimulated by the increasing number of free radicals in the human body as it ages. Basically free radicals are highly oxidizing, and can oxidize and damage the cells. An example of this damaging, oxidizing process as shown by free radicals in our body is what happens to an apple when it is exposed to air. It deteriorates and looks brown because it gets oxidized. Vitamins: Vitamin A, C and E are found in most vegetables and fruits. Vitamin A is found in leafy green vegetables, carrots and papaya. Vitamin C is found in oranges and lemons, as well as in broccoli and tomatoes. Whereas Vitamin E is found mainly in nuts, seeds and whole grains. Eating a lot of these vegetables, fruits and nuts will increase the antioxidants in our body, which in turn will check the free radicals and slow the aging process.
Water: Of course we must not forget the drinking of 8 glasses of water to flush out the toxins, so that the skin can remain healthy and look good. Without a hydrated body there can be no anti aging process happening.
Papaya: Age spots or brown liver spots can be reduced by grating papaya and rubbing onto the face. Leave it for about 20 minutes before you wash it off with water. This must be done every day and has proven to be an anti aging remedy.
Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple Cider Vinegar also contains the Vitamins A, C and E that are sources of antioxidants. Apple cider vinegar mixed with a little onion juice is an anti-aging remedy, as it can fade the age or liver spots if used daily. A tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water with honey or molasses for taste, drank everyday can reduce the age spots and make the skin glow. Another aging symptom is the tendency to put on weight. Drinking the apple cider vinegar concoction is a great anti aging home remedy which will not only reduce age spots, but can make one lose weight too.
Potato and Lemon: Other effective ingredients that are anti-aging because they help reduce age spots are potato and lemon. Grind the potato and apply onto the face for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water followed by cold water. It can not only clear age spots but also make the skin glow. Rubbing lemon juice on the face daily can also reduce the age spots that make people look aged.
Eating lot of fruits and vegetables to neutralize free radicals, drinking water to get rid of daily toxins and a glass of apple cider vinegar with honey or molasses will prevent aging to a large extent. Plus there are other anti aging home remedies like papaya, lemon and potato, just to name a few.
