Home Remedies for Urinary Tract Infection, UTI

Any encroachment of bacteria in the urinary tract endures UTI, i.e. urinary tract infection. Urinary tract includes kidneys, bladders and urethras. This bacterium invades through the door of the urethra and proceeds well inside the tract and thus causing UTI. The infection causes high level of pain and if it is not cleared in the initial stage, it could result in critical health hazards. UTI is more common in women as compared to men. Children can also be affected by urinary tract infection.

As UTI can cause serious problem in the body, it needs to be cured as fast as possible. There are some of the home remedies that can be followed in order to sustain the urinary tract infection. One of the most common remedy is the intake of baking soda. Put half teaspoon of baking soda into 9-10 ounce of water. Mix them properly and drink the solution. It is very effective against UTI and also easily available. Consumption of water should be done. Drink as much water as possible as this dilutes the effect of unwanted substances and thus, flush them out of the body. Juice of cranberry is also an option for the UTI affected people. If the direct intake of this juice is not possible then add some other fruit juices into it. Mix sandalwood, tea tree, juniper oil and bergamot in equal proportion and apply the mixture around abdominal region for 4 to 5 days.

Also a combination of pipsissewa, echinacea, buchu and tinctures can be used. Initially, twenty drops of the solution should be taken every 2 hours and then after, only 4 to 5 times a day. It is a good home remedy for urinary tract infection. The leaf of a plant, blue brinjal, is also emphatic for curing the urinary tract infection. Boil the water with the leaves of the plant and have 2 to 3 times a day. Intake of vitamin C can prevent the growth of bacteria and provide relief from the UTI problems. Coriander seed can also be used in place of brinjal leaves.

Try to get access to a proper diet, with high nutrition levels. Processed food should be avoided and also the intake of spices and caffeine. Consumption of alcohol and cigarettes should be dodged as well. Seeds of carrot help in fighting the bacteria. Boil some lotus petals alongside rose petals in water and drink this water solution after cooling it. Chameli plant abstract is also very useful against the infection caused UTI. Artificial sweetener should be avoided completely. Two capsules of Echinacea and Oregon grape root can also be consumed. Use of marshmallow root in the preparation of tea is an effective home remedy for urinary tract infection. Also, try to release the urine, whenever there is a nature's call. Do not hold back as it can multiply the infection.

Urinary tract infection can be cured. But it's up to an individual to track it as soon as possible. If the above mentioned applications are insufficient, then you should consult a doctor.
